Terms of use
What henna is
henna is a Chrome extension provided by OPENXEL. It drafts a reply to text you select and places that draft on your clipboard. It does not send email, and it does not act on your behalf.
You bring your own model access
henna does not include AI usage. You supply an API key from Google, Anthropic or OpenAI, and requests are made under your own account with that provider, billed by them to you. Your use of their service is governed by their terms, not these. You are responsible for keeping your key secure and for any usage charged to it.
Drafts are drafts
henna produces suggested text using a language model. Model output can be wrong, inappropriate for its context, or subtly misleading. You are responsible for everything you send. The copy-and-paste step exists precisely so that a person reads every word before it reaches a recipient — do not treat a draft as reviewed simply because it is fluent.
henna is instructed never to invent a fact and to leave a bracketed placeholder where it cannot know something. That instruction reduces the risk; it does not eliminate it, and no instruction to a language model can.
Email you did not write
An email is untrusted text. henna takes structural precautions against a message that tries to issue instructions to the model rather than be replied to, and those precautions are tested. They are a mitigation, not a guarantee. Read what you are about to paste.
No warranty
henna is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. OPENXEL does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any draft will be suitable for any purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPENXEL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of henna — including anything arising from a draft you chose to send.
Acceptable use
Do not use henna to produce content that is unlawful, deceptive as to its author, harassing, or that impersonates another person. Do not use it in a way that breaches your AI provider's terms.
Changes and availability
These terms may change; material changes will be published on this page with a new date. henna may be updated or withdrawn at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
